DIY: ClutchMay 19, 2012

A clutch is piece you can use to dress an outfit up or down. I’m providing you with a blue print to a simple designed clutch (pouch) that you can edit in various ways and make in any color or size you want. Materials Used:
- Vinyl
- Matching thread
- Scissors
- Safety pins
- Sewing machine
- Zipper
- Measuring Tape

(Fabric from Joann’s you can find vinyl fabric online or in a local fabric store)

What you need
Total project time: 30 mins
10 mins preping
20 mins pinning & sewing

Total cost of project was under $15.00 (Vinyl $9.99 + Zipper $3.00)

Mesaure and cut a 14.5″ x 11″ piece of vinyl…

Steps 1, 2 & 3

1. Fold vinyl inside out then top piece back

2. Lay zipper face down on matching edge of zipper to edge of vinyl and pin down

3. Sew zipper and vinyl together

Repeat Previous steps

Repeating the steps above for the other side of zipper

4. Pin down edges on side seem and hold together

5. Sew sides together

6. After sewing both sides you will need to hand sew the side seem near the closure of the zipper
